Overview

New and replacement flat roofs in Banbury

Homeowners across Banbury and the wider OX16 area call Validus Roofing for flat roofs. We also work in Grimsbury, Chacombe, Thenford, Culworth and Eydon, and every job starts with a visit and a written quote. Call 0800 075 2452 to book yours.

Flat roofs fail when water sits on them or when joints open up with age. A new flat roof starts with the deck: we replace soft or rotten boards, set the falls so rainwater drains away, then lay a system chosen for how the roof is used.

We install torch-on felt, EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass on homes and commercial buildings, and we explain the trade-offs of each so you choose on cost, lifespan and looks rather than on what an installer prefers to fit.

FAQs

Flat roof FAQs for Banbury

Do you cover Banbury for flat roofs?

Yes. Our team covers Banbury and the surrounding Oxfordshire area, including Grimsbury, Chacombe, Thenford, Culworth and Eydon. Call 0800 075 2452 to arrange a visit and a written quote.

Which flat roof system is best?

It depends on the roof. EPDM rubber suits simple shapes and has very few joints, GRP fibreglass suits roofs with lots of detail or foot traffic, and felt is a proven, economical choice. We recommend one after seeing the roof.

Why does my flat roof keep leaking?

Common causes are ponding water, split or lifted joints, failed upstands where the roof meets a wall, and blocked outlets. Patching the leak without fixing the cause usually means it comes back.

Can a flat roof be insulated when it is replaced?

Yes. A warm-roof build puts insulation boards on top of the deck, under the new membrane, which keeps more heat in and reduces condensation. Building regulations can require it when a large part of the roof is renewed.

Do you work on commercial flat roofs?

Yes. We install and replace flat roof systems on commercial buildings as well as homes, and we plan the work around how the building is used.
