Which flat roof system is best?

It depends on the roof. EPDM rubber suits simple shapes and has very few joints, GRP fibreglass suits roofs with lots of detail or foot traffic, and felt is a proven, economical choice. We recommend one after seeing the roof.

Why does my flat roof keep leaking?

Common causes are ponding water, split or lifted joints, failed upstands where the roof meets a wall, and blocked outlets. Patching the leak without fixing the cause usually means it comes back.

Can a flat roof be insulated when it is replaced?

Yes. A warm-roof build puts insulation boards on top of the deck, under the new membrane, which keeps more heat in and reduces condensation. Building regulations can require it when a large part of the roof is renewed.
