Overview

Replacing loose and missing roof tiles

High winds, frost and corroded fixings all loosen tiles. Once one tile has slipped, those around it lose support, and the underlay beneath is exposed to sun and rain it was never designed to face.

We replace missing tiles with matching profiles, refix loose ones, and check the tiles around the damage so you are not calling us back after the next storm.

FAQs

Roof tile repair FAQs

Is one missing tile really a problem?

It can be. The underlay beneath your tiles is a secondary barrier, not a waterproof roof, and it breaks down in sunlight. Replacing a single tile early costs far less than repairing a ceiling later.

Why do my tiles keep slipping?

Common causes are corroded nails, rotten battens and, on slate roofs, nail fatigue. If slipping keeps happening in different places, the fixings have reached the end of their life.
