Overview

New roofs for Towcester homes

Homeowners across Towcester and the wider NN12 area call Validus Roofing for new roofs. We also work in Pattishall, Beachampton, Old Stratford, Swanbourne and Stoke Hammond, and every job starts with a visit and a written quote. Call 0800 075 2452 to book yours.

When patching stops making sense, a new roof resets the clock. We strip the old covering back to the rafters, check every timber, and rebuild with a breathable membrane, new treated battens and the tile or slate that suits your home and your budget.

Validus Roofing has more than 20 years on local roofs, from Victorian terraces that call for natural slate to modern semis finished in interlocking concrete tiles. You get a written quote that sets out the materials, scaffold and clear-up before any work is booked.

Pricing

What affects new roof prices in Towcester?

Every roof in Towcester is different, so every quote is written for your property. These are the factors that move the price most.

Roof size and pitch

Larger and steeper roofs need more material, more labour and a bigger scaffold.

Choice of covering

Natural slate and clay tiles cost more per square metre than concrete tiles.

Condition of the timbers

Replacing rafters, boards or fascias adds labour once the old roof is off.

Access and scaffold

Terraces, conservatories and tight gardens all change the scaffold design.

FAQs

New roof FAQs for Towcester

Do you cover Towcester for new roofs?

Yes. Our team covers Towcester and the surrounding Northamptonshire area, including Pattishall, Beachampton, Old Stratford, Swanbourne and Stoke Hammond. Call 0800 075 2452 to arrange a visit and a written quote.

How do I know if I need a new roof rather than a repair?

If tiles are slipping in several areas, the underlay has perished or the battens are rotten, repairs only buy time. After a survey we will tell you honestly which camp your roof falls into.

How long does a re-roof take?

Most terraced and semi-detached houses take around one to two weeks, depending on size, weather and what we find under the tiles. Your quote gives a timescale for your roof.

Do I need planning permission for a new roof?

Replacing a roof with similar materials usually does not need planning permission. Listed buildings, conservation areas and changes to the roof shape can, so check with your local planning office before work starts.

Can I stay at home while the roof is replaced?

Yes. We work in sections and keep the roof watertight at the end of each day, so you can live at home as normal throughout.
